Catalan Language and Literature in Upper Secondary Education

Girona counties
2026–2027 academic year: from November 1, 2026, to April 30, 2027.

This project is aimed at upper secondary education students and teachers in the Girona counties, with the goal of sharing with the public the results of research being carried out at the University of Girona, adapted to the curriculum content.

The project is divided between activities aimed at upper secondary education students and those focused on training teachers at secondary schools.

Regarding activities aimed at students, the intention is to offer an annual program of talks and lectures addressing topics in Catalan language and literature related to the content taught as part of the curriculum, with the goal of fostering interest in the humanities among pre-university students.

Regarding activities aimed at secondary school teachers, various training seminars in Catalan language and literature will be offered every two years to encourage reflection on and support for teaching work with audiovisual and educational materials.

The content of both the activities aimed at students and those aimed at teachers is designed and supervised by University of Girona professors specializing in the subject of each proposal.

The Institut de Llengua i Cultura Catalanes (ILCC) at the University of Girona is responsible for organizing and coordinating this initiative.
