A Moianès composer at the court of Fernando VII

The composer Jacint Codina i Marfà, born in Moià at the end of the 18th century and who died in Madrid in 1817, composed the first piano and orchestra concerto written in Spain. Codina was a musician at the court of Fernando VII in Madrid and achieved remarkable prestige. We are now bringing this work back with the winners of the Maria vilardell Viñas Piano Competition as soloists and the Campus Orchestra, in a project that is especially meaningful to us.
Before the concert, there will be an introduction about Jacint Codina by Jaume Clarà, author of an article about this Moianès composer in the latest issue of the magazine Modiglinum.
