Dansàneu

Festival of Pyrenean Cultures. Dansàneu is the successor to the traditional dance summer school founded in 1992 and led for more than two decades by dancer and choreographer Joan Serra. In 2015, it was relaunched as the Festival of Pyrenean Cultures, a project open to all audiences that highlights the heritage and natural wealth of the Valls d’Àneu through a program structured around dance and music. The festival combines contemporary creation and new artistic proposals with traditional culture.
Awarded the National Culture Prize in 2021, Dansàneu has established itself as a cross-Pyrenean project that broadens the concept of a summer festival. It does so from a creative, environmentalist and feminist perspective, rooted in the region and committed to its social and economic impact across the Valls d’Àneu.
