Cenk Esen is a pianist and composer born in Istanbul and based in London. Born into a family of musicians, Cenk grew up listening to post-bop classics alongside mid-2000s pop, shaping a musical sensibility as diverse as the soundscapes of his hometown.
After graduating from Berklee College of Music, where he was part of the prestigious Global Jazz Institute, Cenk moved to London, quickly establishing himself as a prominent figure on the music scene.
In recent years he has toured and collaborated with artists including Mansur Brown, Chaos in the CBD, Romarna Campbell, Şam, MckNasty and Tom Driessler; he has performed at venues including Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Cadogan Hall, Southbank Centre and Royal Albert Hall; and at events including the Montreux Jazz Festival, New York Winter Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival and We Out Here Festival.
