What Have More Than Fifty Years of Meteorological and Oceanographic Observations in l'Estartit Taught Us?

The conference will trace the history of the series of meteorological and oceanographic observations in l'Estartit, explaining how the first measurements, taken with simple, homemade devices, evolved toward the use of high-precision instrumentation.

The dataset collected over more than half a century, covering both the atmosphere and the sea, will be presented, highlighting the value of this sustained effort over time. Finally, the main results and their contribution to knowledge in the context of climate change will be shown.
