The  International Forum on Skills Intelligence in Postsecondary and Higher Education (IFSI)(http://ifsi.research.uoc.edu/)  held its inaugural edition on July 2 – 3, 2025  ( you can access the multimedia proceedings of the first edition here(https://openaccess.uoc.edu/bitstreams/107be46f-6071-466a-80e3-04526dda03c5/download) ) , organized by the  Universitat Oberta de Catalunya(https://www.uoc.edu/en) . The forum was launched as a pioneering space designed to rethink the future of higher and postsecondary education through the lens of skills intelligence.

In 2026, IFSI becomes a year round virtual forum which showcases  Skills Intelligence Innovators and Ecosystem Builders , by curating a cycle of five (5) online webinars throughout the year. Many educational  institutions are aware of the need for Skills Intelligence, but lack concrete examples of what effective implementation looks like in practice. This session addresses that gap by presenting a small number of highly curated cases that demonstrate visible outcomes, such as improved programme responsiveness, stronger learner pathways, better employer engagement, or more effective decision-making. The emphasis is not only on innovation, but on transferability: what made the initiative work, under what conditions, and what others can realistically adopt.
